DIMS(Defocus incorporated multiple segments) lens represents a relatively advanced method for myopia management at present. Through six years of clinical observation, it has been demonstrated that prolonged use of this lens yields sustained, stable, and effective outcomes in myopia control. However, previous evaluations primarily focused on measuring the progression of spherical equivalent (SE) and axial length (AL), failing to accurately assess the impact of DIMS lenses on astigmatism. A retrospective analysis involving adolescents and children who wore DIMS lenses for 6 months and 12 months revealed that all participants exhibited favorable results in myopia prevention and control during follow-up periods. Notably, there was no significant difference observed between changes in spherical equivalent lens measurements compared to those of spherical lenses during the wearing period (P>0.05). This indicated that variations in spherical equivalent were predominantly attributable to changes in spherical lens measurements. In conclusion, based on the aforementioned data analysis and existing literatures, it could be asserted that wearing DIMS lenses effectively contributes to myopia prevention and control without adversely affecting astigmatism changes. Furthermore, the alterations in astigmatism observed in adolescents and children during the use of DIMS lenses were negligible.

To retrospectively analyse the effects of the changes in axial length and equivalent spherical power was done by visual function training with conventional peripheral defocus lenses and the combination of traditional Chinese medicine appropriate technology. By exploring the clinical efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine appropriate techniques combined with visual function training on the prevention and control of myopia in children and adolescents, more options and scientific references for the intervention of children and adolescents were provide. After 6 months of combined traditional Chinese medicine appropriate technology and visual function training on the basis of conventional fitting of peripheral defocus lenses, the myopia progression was delayed by 41.17%, and the axial length increase was delayed by 38.26%, which was effective for myopia control in children and adolescents, and this technology was worth further study in clinical practice.

Primary school is a key period of growth for children and adolescents, and it is also the main battle field for the prevention and control of myopia among children and adolescents. Taking “prevention and control of myopia in primary schools in Shenzhen” as the research object, through in-depth interviews, questionnaire survey and other methods, we analyzed the problems in the implementation of myopia prevention and control in primary schools and put forward corresponding countermeasures. The study aimed to promote the prevention and control of myopia in primary schools by improving the educational evaluation system, the inspection system of myopia prevention and control in schools, deepening the publicity and education of myopia in schools, strengthening the management of students' use of electronic products, and promoting the incentive mechanism related to the prevention and control of myopia.

Through a literature review and a questionnaire survey of 500 adolescents aged 12~18, the current status of adolescents' eye and vision health and dietary nutrition was analyzed, aiming to explore the relationship between adolescent eye and vision health and nutritional diet. The results showed that of the 455 people with substandard nutritional intake, 305 had vision problems of varying degrees, of which 160 were myopic; food intake such as dark green vegetables and deep-sea fish was negatively correlated with the risk of myopia. Based on the research findings, nutritional dietary guidance strategies were proposed, including increasing the intake of specific foods, moderately supplementing key nutrients, and controlling high-sugar and high-fat diets, which provided new ideas for the management of adolescents' eye and vision health.

With the increasing demand for professional optometry technicians in domestic eye health, higher vocational colleges are playing an increasingly important role in the transportation of optometry talents. Through questionnaire survey, we collected feedback results from students, graduates and employers on teaching content, self-ability improvement, employment willingness and other aspects under different training modes. This paper compared the similarities and differences between the "1+1+1" and "2+1" training models on students, and preliminarily analyzed the factors affecting the satisfaction of the training mode. Based on the survey results and past teaching experience, this paper put forward the methods and ideas for optimizing the training mode, hoped to provide a reference for the improvement of higher vocational optometry education.

To discuss the application the teaching mode of Trump system in the course of contact lens of optometry technology major. A total of 73 students were selected as the research objects, three modes of teaching, namely, large class, small class discussion and individual teaching were implemented, and the effectiveness of teaching was evaluated at the end of the period. The results of the final assessment and the feedback from the questionnaire showed that all students had a good acceptance of the application of the teaching mode of Trump system in the major courses, which was conducive to improving academic performance and teaching effectiveness. This research provided diverse learning support for optometry students, in order to provide research basis for further innovating the teaching mode of optometry technology.
