    On the basis of the Fourier optics, we ve analysed the optical far-field of a laser beam passing through the UHF acoustic standing waves and found that there is temperal spectrum in the spatial spectrum on the far-field plane besides the spatial spectrum. In accordance with the above results we ve developed an imaging principle of UHF acoustic standing wavefronts: by temporal crosscorrelation, the non-zero Value of correlation of the same temporal frequencies in the different spatial frequencies is obtained. Therefore we have not only clarified the confusion of the theory but also developed a new method for imaging the UHF acoustic st anding wavefronts. And the results have been proved experimehtally.

    The full quantum theory of laser polarization is presented in this paper. The polarization properties of multimode laser beam in anisotropio cavity are analysed. Basic equations, calculation curve and polarization configurations of describing the inter-angle of mode polarization directions in 6328 A He-Ne laser vs. anisotropy are given. The effects of the phase anisotropy on mode polarization by stress is investigated. The experimental result and theory analysis is coincident.

    In the general case the condition for thermal stability of telescopic resonators in TEM00 mode operation is derived by using equivalent resonators and transfer matrix method. The expression is simple but strict, and can be generalized easily to the multielement resonators with many internal lenses one of which is thermal lens. The results are compared and discussed with those obtained by approximate methods.

    Analysis of the thermal gas lens in the discharge tube of a self-heated copper vapor lasers (OVL) is given. For the different schemes of copper vapor laser, it has been found that the steady-state OVL can be equivalent to a convex lens or a concave lens. As results of the experiment, the relations between the focal length of the thermal gas lens and the input power and buffer gas pressure are presented. The evolution process of the thermal gas lens from concave to convex lens is described.

    A new excited emission/nonlinear multi-funotioiial crystal rare earth borate crystal NdxY1-xAl3(BO3)4(abb. NYAB) has been developed. The effective nonlinear coefficient of type I phase matohirtg XIeff=4.056×10-9 e.s.u. is 4 timea more than that of the KDP crystals provided that the phase matohing coditions are satisfied. The measured value by SHG method is in good agreement with this data. Using the tunable dye laser (Dataohrom-5000) as pumping source, the laser self-frequency-doubling output from the NYAB crystal at 1.06~0.53 μm is obtained for the first time. The threshold energy measured is less than 2 mJ, maximum oonyersion efficiency is 14.3%; and the output energy at 0.53 μm is 5mJ.

    In this paper, considering the photo-elastic anisotropy, we calculated the contrast of birefringence topography of dislocation in SBN crystals along the optical axis. It is shown that the petals of edge dislocation image for anisotropio crystals are longer than that for isotropic crystals. The images for screw dislocation have no contrast. These results have been compared with experiments.

    The coupling equations describing broad-band laser nonlinear interaction arae presented. Several types of frequency-doublers are used for broad-band SHG of a Nd: glass Q-switched laser system with Δλ,(FWHM) =60A. The experimental results gree with the theory very well.

    In this paper, the ponderomotive effect near the reflection points of electron plasma waves is investigated for the first time. The interdependent relations among the various parameters which characterize the effect are determined, and the plasma density jump and electron plasma wave are self-consistently derived.

    In this paper, chromaticity co-ordinates of photographic effect of camera lenses corresponding to the six points, which limited the tolerance of ISO/001, is calculated by means of the basic formulae of colorimetry. The color difference of photographic, effects between the lenses according with the six points and the ISO standard camera lens is computed by using the OIE 1964 color difference formulae. According to these results, the rationality of the tolerance of ISO/CCI is discussed and the proposal for dividing the teleranoe of ISO/CCII into two regions is presented.

    Based on the measured results by using the technique of sensitivity fluorescence speotroscopy and the improved theoretical model suggested by authors early, the mechanism of anomolous optogalvanio signal induced by CW laser tuned to the resonance frequency between the transitions of Ne 1s3, 1s5 and 2p levels was explained satisfactorily.

    The optogalvanio signal (OGS) in CO2-N2 discharge tube irradiated by CO2 laser has been measured by a narrow band-pass filter, and the electron energy distribution (EED) has been measured by a second-order differential circuit. It is considered that OGS in CO2-N2 discharge tube is generated through step ionization when CO2 and N2 molecules in electric excited states are disturbed, and the rate of step ionization is changed by 10.6μm laser irradiation.

    It was found experimently that the X-ray emission was enhanced from GaAs and Zn plasmas irradiated by a Nd:glass laser pulse with width of 2ns and on target power density of 5 ×1013 W/cm2 in a high frequency electric field in 0.1 Torr air atmosphere. The intensity of X-ray was much stronger in the presence of the high frequency field than that without it. The ratios of the intensity α -I(field)/I(no field) were determined from the obtained spectra, however the plasma temperature deduced from the recombinatition continuum was lower in the presence of high frequency eleotrio field (Te=300 eV) than, that without it (Te=430 eV).
