    It is difficult to test the transmittance parameters of glass in the form of glass fiber. The transmittance of glass fiber is characterized by the transmittance parameters of glass with the same formula. The transmittance of glass in glass fiber is tested and evaluated by quoting the visible light single-point transmittance T550 nm, infrared light single-point transmittance T940 nm, ultraviolet light single-point transmittance T365 nm and visible light full-band transmittance T380-780 nm. On this basis, the concept of visible light transmittance stability is characterized by ΔT (ΔT=T550 nm -T380-780 nm).

    In the manufacture of flat panel display glass, platinum channel is used to transport molten glass, which will suffer oxidation loss when it works at a temperature above 1 400 ℃ for a long time. At the same time, H+ generated by water decomposition in the glass melt is released to the outside through the wall of the platinum channel, and O2- enriched in the glass melt will form a certain amount of bubbles. In order to protect the platinum channel and improve the glass quality, a coating of ZrO2-Y2O3 is sprayed on the surface of the platinum channel by plasma spraying. The bonding strength between the coating and the platinum channel is more than 50 MPa, which reduces the oxidation loss rate of the platinum channel by about 75% at the service temperature, and has good high-temperature adaptability with the refractory coated by the platinum channel.

    The mixture design is a very effective method to solve formulation problems in the design of experiment. With the aid of JMP software, the best formulations of cover glass for electronic glass industry under the certain constraints can be obtained by using this optimal design method for mixed materials. The experimental results show this design method can establish an effective model based on fewer experimental expectation, propose the best experimental scheme and predict the optimal results. It is proved that the formulas proposed by the model have satisfactorily achieved the anticipated goal after practical experiment.

    End-fired glass furnaces were widely used in the field of glass manufacturing due to their high energy utilization efficiency and low investment cost. The side feeding structure plays a key role in energy-saving and stable production of end-fired glass furnace. The influence of the structure of dog-house with pre-melting pool and its refractory configuration on the energy consumption and melting quality of end-fired glass furnace was introduced. The structure of dog-house which can improve the pre-melting effect was analyzed. It provides reference for the design of end-fired glass furnace.

    Through mathematical model derivation, heating wire and polyvinyl butyral were equivalent to a certain thickness and uniform resistance layer, which simplified the simulation modeling of heating wire. Comparing the simulation results of the heating wire modeling and equivalent modeling, the temperature deviation of the modeling was small, and the maximum temperature deviation was 0.1 ℃, which proved that the equivalent modeling was feasible. The deviation of the maximum temperature between steady-state and transient was 0.9 ℃, while the steady-state could greatly reduce the calculation time. Finally, comparing product testing data and simulation solution, the temperature deviation of the two models and the product was less than 2.5 ℃, which proved that the two models had high simulation accuracy. Because of the advantages of less work, convenient adjustment and high efficiency, equivalent modeling was recommended as a simulation method for automotive front windshield of heating wire.

    A defoaming process for the treatment of foam layer in an oxy-fuel combustion glass furnace is proposed,which can improve the quality of glass. Because of the continuous diffusion and penetration of defoamer with low surface tension between the gas-liquid interface, which makes the membrane wall thin quickly. And the foam is strongly pulled by the surrounding film with high surface tension, so that the stress imbalance around the foam, leading to the "bubble breaking", so as to achieve the purpose of eliminating foam. This technology can reduce production energy consumption, save production costs and provide some useful reference.

    Sealing glass is used to connect and seal same or different kinds of materials. The development of sealing glass with higher expansion coefficient (CTE) is needed due to the recent request for high-quality sealing between multiple metals. This review introduces domestic and international research status of sealing glass with CTE higher than 90×10-7 ℃-1, and discusses the development trend of sealing glass with high CTE. Lead-free crystalline sealing glasses can match more metals by their possibility of achieving higher CTE. The performance of lead-free sealing glass is not inferior to lead-contained sealing glass and able to replace lead-contained sealing glass in the future. Lead-free crystalline sealing glasses has greater development advantages.
