In order to suppress the coherent artigact noise, a method of image differentiation by means of monochromatic incoherent line source is described. Differentiation filter is realized by making F. T. holographic filter from diffracting grating type differentiation mask. Experimental results show that noise reduction resulting from the line source is considerable.

The SiO2 holographic blazed grating with good quality and high diffraction efficiency have been developed by reactive ion beam etching and holographic grating mask made by lensless Fourier transform holography recording. We investigated the techniques of the photoresist coating, holographic exposure and development so that the mask pattern of the AZ1350 photoresist holographic grating should be made suitable for reactive ion beam etching. And then, the SiO2 holographic blazed gratings with space frequency of 1000 lines/mm are microfabricatod by 0F4 ion beam etching. The etching rate of SiO2 and AZ1350 photoresist has been determined. The blazed angle of gratings can be controlled by varying the incident angle of the ion team. The advisable etching technology parameters have been chosen and the experimental results of the Si02 hoJographio blazed grating with 67% diffraction efficiency have been achieved.

The relation between the incident angle of a p-polarization beam and the reflectance ratio on both sides of glass or other transparent material, is strongly sensitive to the surface layer parameters such as refrative index, thickness, and absorption, especially when tho refractive indexes of the surface and the flat host are nearly the same. The paper gives the primary experimental results and the numerical simulation based on the theory of thin film optics. By means of data fitting, we are able to learn the physical state of the surface layer from the experimental curves of reflectance ratio versus incident angle. The meuhode has the advantage of simplicity in equipment and easiness1 in understanding.

From the principle of multiple reflections of light in an integrating sphere, the non-linear errors are obtained. These errors exist in the substitution or comparison method when making photometric or colorimetric measurements by converging series approaches. At the same time, the error correction formulas are found, and the designing criteria of the parameters of the integrating sphere are proposed.

By comparing the fluorescence intensity of XeCl(B-X), (C-A) and Xe2Cl as a function of the total gas pressures, the formation and quenching kinectics of discharge pumped Xe2Cl* have been quantitatively studied and the HCl deexcitation rate constant for Xe2Cl have been determined to be KHCl0=9.2×10-10cm3/sec.

The coupling-transmission characteristics of high power laser beam through a low-loss optical fiber made in China are investigated. The fiber optic cable composed of lens-fiber-lens is developed. 200 watt output power and 90% coupling-transmission efficiency are obtained by using the quartz fiber cable with 2m length. Up to now the fiber optic cable is successfully applied to the treatment of six cases of hepatic cancer, one case of hepatic blood vessel tumour and one case of oral cavity cancer.

This paper suggest a method of direct measurement of B-integral by using spectrum-broadening method in a high power Nd-glass laser system. Good results are obtained. In this paper, A method for directly measuring the B-integral in a high power Nd-glass laser system has been proposed by using the spectrum-broadening techniques. Favorable results have been obtained.

Experimental results are presented about specific mass ablation rate, ablation pressure, hydrodynamic efficiency and other parameters by using ion measurements in laser produced plasmas obtained at tilted plain mylar targest irradiated by Nd: glass high power laser with both P polarization and 8 polarization. Laser irradiance on target surface is ranging from 2×1012 to 1014 W·cm-2. Experimental scaling laaw is compared with theory. The difference of ablation parameters and temporal ion signals collected from the back of the thin foils produced by different polarization of the incident light is preliminarily discussed.

An optoelectronic switch, which consists of two GaAs cuboids and a resistance, operates in a high output resistance mode, is directly connected to a pair of Pockls cell electrodes. kV electric pulses with continuous variable width in the ns region have been obtained. The output efficiency is high as 84%.

The transmissivity experssion T=exp[- (L/d)] for submillimeter waves transmitted in a metal light pipe is given. Comparason of the theoritical calculation with the measured data by the autyor and data published elsewhere has been made. It is shown that the auther s results are more close to the experimental values than the theoritical calculated values before.

The intensity of SHG vs temperature scanning curve of LiNbO3 crystal have been measured with an acostic-optical Q-switch Nd3+:YAG laser. The change of coherence length of Maker finger was used to research the anomalous properties of LiNbO3 crystal. Experiment result showed the coherencelength broadening anomalously near 75℃. This anomalous phenomena may be attributed to the anomalous variety of refraction index owing to some ions movement in crystal near 75 ℃.

This paper reports the experimental results of the emission spectra and energy transfer of CF2(3B1) produced by reaction O(3P)+C2F4. Some new vibrational bands and Franck-Condon factors are obtained. The relation between the vibrational state distribution of CF2(3B1) and the flux of C2F4 are also given.

The set of criteria for selecting configuration function, presented in the previous paper[2], are extended from double-electron excitation to three-electron exoetation. The effect of other multiplicate states on the excited B 3Πg and A 3Σu++ states are excluded by using the projection operator. By means of CI method the oscillator strongth of the first positiue band system of N2 is calculated. The calculated value is 0.00198, being in good agreement with experimental values.

If an electric field is introduced during deposition, it is possible to improve optical stability of narrow band filters. We applied Acoor DC electric filed have been used to prepare ZnS/cryolite. As a result, the mesured peak transmission Wavelength keeps basically constant even in 100%RH. Some reasons for improvement of the filter stability are also analysed.
