Based on multiple-imaging, an optical parallel pattern login processor is proposed in this paper. The input pattern is encoded by the combination of two patterns and two negative patterns. All sixteen logic operations can be implemented, and the required logic functions in the two independent output channels can be redized by customizing the states of four polarizers. Experimental results are also presented.

The self-imaging phenomenon and Lau effect under the illumuination of spatially periodic coherent light are analyzed by means of ambiguity function theory. Theoretical results show that the self- imaging phenomenon and Lau effect may occur when the illumination sources satisfy a certain condition. The posssible applications of these phenomena are discussed according to the analysis results.

The paper presents a method of measuring relief depth and refractive index variation in holographic phase media. By the method an reflection interference microscope and a micro-computer with a CCD camera are used in testing, and can obtain highly precise data of them. In the paper, the testing error is analysed, the optimum conditions which make the measuring system keep its highest accuracy are given.

In this paper, a new holographic recording material:dichromated-cellulose triacetate is presented. The holograms made of this material have stronger real time effect, higher diffraction efficiency, better anti-humidity and environmental stability, etc. Meanwhile, the imaging mechanism is analysed, and the holographic characteristics are studied experimentally.

Exact dispersion relations for TM waves guided by thin dielectric films covered on one or two sides media of intensity-dependent refractive indexes have been derived. Numerical results for symmetric structure are in good agreement with that obtained by the finite element method.

A new mode locking technique for CW Nd:YAG laser by moving one of the cavity mirror is reported. Pulse- trains with averege FWHM of 60 ps are obtained. An explanation accounting for the experimental results is presented, indicating that the mode locking is in essence a kind of enhanced self-mode locking.

The configuration of optical switch and traveling-wave pockels cell (Cr:GaAs-LiTaO3) is described in this paper. Using Electro-Optic Sampling measurement with fs laser pulse as exciting and sampling beam, we have succeeded in generating and measuring ps ultrashort electrical pulse with a rise-time of 5 ps. Using Yamashita' s stripline design formula and under quasi-TEM mode approximation, we have analyzed the stripline dispersion and the wavefront distortion as the pa electrical pulse travels along the stripline. It is concluded that the short leading edge of ps electrical pulse was broadened and the slow decaying trailing edge was shortened because of the stripline dispersion.

We present here a novel method to track and lock the frequency of laser diode using the transmission spectrum of a Faraday anomalous dispersion optical filter (FADOF) as the frequency discrminato. The frequency stability obtained is better than 2.1×10-10 for 100 ms≤τ≤10 s sampling time. And by changing the intensity the intensity of magnetic field from 0.7×10-2 T to 2.2×102 T, we obtained a continuous frequency scan of more than 2 GHz.

The electron density of excimer (XeCl, 308 nm) laser-produced plasma near the surface of Y-Ba-Cu-O target has been diagnosed with laser interferometry. The results show that the electron density is about 1016-1017/cm3 when the laser power density is 3×108 W/cm2 and the background pressure is 1.33-13.3 Pa.

The calculating method and equation of paralling modulation function curve of nonlineral crystal are applied in this paper, and verified experimeritally. The Half-wave voltage working curve of electron- optical crystal has been plotted. All kinds of modulation function curve and hystereosis loop in different conditions are tested. The result proved that the paralling method of modulation function curve of electron-optical crystal is an effective optical method of making half-wave voltage (Vπ) of nonlineral crystal.

In this paper, we briefly introduce basic principle and the preparation of soft X-ray grazing planar mirror. The calibrating reflectance process are principally described. The scaling results are given. Finally, the planar mirror are used to measure sub-KeV X-ray spectrum of the laser-plasma interection. The spectrum measurement precision are improved.

The design of a new kind of UV or DUV lithography lenses is described in this paper. Compared with other UV or DUV lithography lenses, this lens can meet the needs of higher numerical aperture and full use of its field. Using the ring illumination, this lens can provide a solution for the contradiction of shortening DOF while enlarging NA.

In this paper, we have investigated the time evolution of populations of the Λ type three-level atom with an addtional Kerr medium. The influence of the single photon detuning between the field frequency and the atomic transition frequency, and the effect of the Kerr medium on the populations of the atom have been analysed.

Using interpolation technique it is possible to determine the image spots position with subpixel accuracy. After a brief introduction to several common used interpolation algorithms, their algorithm errors are investigated based on a Gaussian image spot model. By correcting the algothm error an even higher accuracy can be achieved. Above analyses are well verified by our experiments.

Cross sections of TiO2 single layer thin films and TiO2/ SiO2 multilayer stacks deposited by reactive ion plating have been investigated by transmission electron microscopy; analyses of TiO2 thin films by Raman spectroscopy and by RBS is prestented in this paper.
