The universal expresses of irradiance intensity distribution on the hologram and the reconstructed real image plane are derived from a general model of in-line holography of particle fields in this paper. The universal formulae of the fringe visibility, film resolution requirement and maximum allowable displacement of a particle are given. The theoretical system of in-line hologram of particle fields is perfected and universalized.

This paper discusses a new method for measuring displacement using grating Doppler effect. The measuring principle is analyzed theoretically As a result, the measuring formula and the phase relationship between the recieved beat signals have been derived. The experimental results show that this system gives good signals with high signal-to-noise ratio and can be easily used in precision measurements.

A stable CW and quasi-CW Nd:YAG laser was pumped by a homemade DH laser diode (DH-LD) array with OW power of 100 mW and pulse power of 200 mW. The continuous output power of 12 mW and pulse power of 20 mW at repetition rates of 10-50 kHz were obtained, respectively. The power fluctuation is less then 0.5%. The calculated ralues is agreement with the experimental results.

The solution of the rate equations describing an erbium-doped fiber amplifier is investigated in this paper. And the possibility of obtaining an analytical solution for some fields and erbium transverse distributions in the active fiber are determined and the solutions are calculated. The signal gain for arbitrary signal intensities (include large signal) and the main parameters that affect the signal gain are obtained. The maximum gain is as high as 29.5dB at pump wavelength of 532nm.

A four-wavelength dye laser system consisted of four dye lasers is developed. Its laser parameters and time characteristic after mixing four beams have been measured. The factors which have an effect on efficient dye laser power are diseussed briefly. The total average output power of this system is 8.9 W.

We have studied the dynamics and mechanism of KrF laser, and obtained the dependence of medium gain, saturation intensity and maximum intracavity intensity on the medium composition and pressure using the theory of steady state. All of these can be used for the design of the medium parameter in excimer laser. A method for amplifying the multiplexed short pulse by the Goblin amplification is introduced in this paper.

A slab lager is operated thermal-stably with almost invariant divergence angle within the pump power ranging from 150 W to 10000 W. The maximum laser output power is over 150 W. The compression of output divergence angle by placing suitable cylindrical lens into the resonator is also reported in this paper.

In this paper, we d iScUSS the affection of the selected reference plane on mode-locking equation when it was derived from self-consistent model and found the ideal position of reference plane. Based on these disscussion, we have developed a new mode-looking equation for Simutoneously pumped mode-looked (SPML), passive mode-locked and hybridly mode-locked dye laser. The numerical solution, of SPML was presented.

The relationship between the temporal coherence (i.e. the coherence length) and the output power of a multi-longitudinal mode Ar+ laser is studied. The experimental measurements show that the coherence length behaves a hyperbola as a function of the output power. A simple model of multimode equal amplitude power spectrum is employed in the theoretical analysis. Good agreement between theory and experiment is obtained, It is shown that for a multi-longitudinal mode Ar+ laser, the product of the coherence length and the output power is almost a constant.

In this paper, the feedback effect of tapered-fiber coupler with high reflective index miorolens on its top is described, which influences the property of travelling wave semiconductor laser amplifier. The theoretical analysis of the effect is presented with the Fresnel reflection on the surface of thick lens and the definite aperture introduced in the analysis to make the results agreement with the actual case.

With high order Mie scattering theory, we studied the absorption (extinction) spectra, of colloidal CdS, ZnS microcrystallites, and the dependence of the apectra on crystallite size. It is predicted that the blue shifts of absorption peak and absorption edge are mainly caused by classical size effect at the microcrystallite radii of CdS, ZnS larger than 10 nm, otherwise, the blue shifts are mainly due to quantum size effect.

On the basis of conjugation theory for reflecting prisms, a method for image stabilization involving three degrees of freedom with only two prisms is proposed in convergent light, and its respective formula is deduced. With the help of optimization and computer the formula is optimized. A new way is offered for image-stabilizing involving more degrees of freedom.

A coupled wave equation set discribing the grating assisted double-waveguide contra-directional coupling is derived based on the nonorthogonal coupled mode theorem (NOCMT). Through numerical computation, the coupling characteristics are finalized and compared with those of a grating assisted single waveguide contra-directional coupling.

Photoacoustic (PA) observation of the decay channels of surface plasmons wag made on the plasmong excited by the attenuated total reflection (ATE). Both in the interfaces of Ag-air and CaF2-Ag-air, ATR and PA spectrum were measured at the game time. The results show that it is possible to determine the radiative and non-radiative decay quantatively by comparing measurements taken with transparent and blackened cavities.

Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) films of tetra-neopentoxy phthaloeyanine zine and tetra-nonyl phthalocyanine copper are prepared, Absorption spectra at different temperature are measured and aggregates of the films are studied. There are a strong peak at 680 nm and a sideband at 620 nm which are corresponding to monomer and dimer respectively in absorption spectra of tetra-neopentoxy phthalocyanine zine films in room temperature. The monomer is transformed irreversibly into the dimer gradually with temperature increasing. The absorption spectra of tetra-nonyl phthalocyanine copper LB films in room temperature show that there are monomer, dimer and J-aggregates which causes a strong peak at 740 nm, in the LB films. The J-aggregates is destroyed at high temperature and restored again when the temperature decreased.
