577 nm subthreshold micropulse laser (SML) is a non-destructive thermal laser therapy for the treatment of retinal diseases, which has the advantages of minimal damage, high safety, and strong penetration ability. It showed great development prospects in the treatment of retinal diseases and other fields. This article reviews the research progress of 577 nm SML in the treatment of central serous chorioretinopathy (CSC), diabetic macular edema (DME), age-related macular degeneration (ARMD), macular edema secondary to retinal vein occlusion and other retinal diseases, hoping that it can provide some reference for clinical application.
