Simulation and Experiment Research Based on Parameters of Optical Phased Array
In this paper, the characteristics of one dimension optical phased array has been described, and the theoretical relationship of parameters has been analyzed. Through the research of the relationship between parameters and wavelength, it demonstrated that the vertical angle control resulted from wavelength modulation could not change the parameters of optical phased array significantly, moreover, the grating etched on the waveguide and the diffraction characteristics of grating utilized could realize two optical phased array scanning. In experiment, the 256 channels grating optical phased array was achieved. Furthermore, the ranging distance more than 50 m, the measured accuracy less than 5 cm,the optical beam diversion less than 0.25° could be achieved, as well as the scanning span larger than 41.2°×11.9° in the wavelength of 1 515~1 595 nm.These theoretical analysis and experimental research is of important value and can provide guideline and technical assistance for researchers in this field.
