A new type of computer generated rainbow hologram (CRH), called Lens-less Fraunhofer Computer Generated Eainbow Hologram (LLFCRH), is proposed in this paper. The principle of LLFOEH and the math mode of object wave are analyzed.Based on the information of holograms, the information of ordinary CRH, the redundancy of information and the related techniques for reducint the redundant information are discussed. The experimental results are shown.

In this paper, a real-time non-destructive method is proposed for testing grating quality in the shite light processing system by using the reflective property of grating. This technique gives a high accuracy and it is easy to operate, so it has practical value in production. The theory analysis and experimental results are consistent very well.

The basic formulae of laser induced temperature profiles for thermomagnetic recording are given in this paper, and effects of the temperature profiles on recording domain size are evaluated. With the quadrilayer as an example, somenume rical solutions are presented. Some related experimental results are obtained. So a practical program for lowering the recording laser power is figured out.

An improved Fresnel waveguide lens is presented. It not only exhibits theoretically excellent focusing characteristics and has almost the same efficiency as that of ideal Fresnel lens, but also simplifies the mask process. We give experimental results concerning these lenes (f/D = 5, 2mm aperture) in silicon nitride waveguides. Nearly diffraction limited focusing characteristics and high efficiency (60%) were experi mentally obtained. The experiment results are in good agrement with theoretical analysis.

Computer simulation shows that the rate of linewidth narrowing is limited by the low cutoff frequency (fc) of feedback loop, because of the FM response of usuall semiconductor laser. Somiclagsical theory analysis shows that not only the narrowed linewidth output can be obtained, but also the limits to fc can be canceled by using two-electrode imhomogenous linewidth enhancement factor semiconductor laser. In this paper we present proposals for improvement.

An analytical formulation for the fundamental mode of multielement confocal unstable resonators is presented firstly by using Newton s imaging equation. Some important characteristics of the resonators have teen predicted. A comparison of this method with others is discussed.

We report the ion measurement of time-of-flight with Faraday cup and the ion energy with a simple analytic model involving an isothermal rarefaction. The targets were polished glass coated with 100A to 1μm of Al and Au foils. Irradiance was varied in the range 1012 to 1014 W/cm2 with constant laser power and variable focal size. Deductions include the scaling relationship of ion velocity at λ = 1.06μm with different focal size, and the anisotropic distributions have been clearly observed.

A conception of thermo-optic switched directional coupler with reversed Δβ is proposed and a testing device with two paires of electric heaters has been fabricated on glass substrate. At 1 kHz square wave voltage modulation, analyzing optical output power from the device by using a high speed 12-bit A/D converter connected with a computer, shows that both a bar-state and a cross-state have been obtained. Because glass waveguides are optical damage-free, polarization-insen sitive, and easy to fabricate, the device can be widely nsed in the oases that do not require high speeds.

This paper presents a new optical holography for compounding reconstruction orthoscopic image and pseudoscopic image of the recorded object. Better stereoscopic and artistic effect can be obtained as the information on both the front side and the back side of object recorded in a hologram can be seen at the same time. In this paper, the recording principle and the experimental technique and results are introduced.

The quenching effect of LiF spectrum of C1∏u(v =0, J =53)→X1∑g+(v" = 5, 6: J" =52, 54) for dimer 39K2 by collision of buffer gas Ar was measured experimentally. The relation between the intensities I of LIF spectrum and the pressure P = PAr+PK in beat-pipe oven was deduced by stable collision model. IThe -P plot fitted by this model was in satisfactory agreement with the experimental data. Further analysis of the parameter C1 fitted showed that: the sensitivity of backward detection for heat-pipe oven was 2 times more than that of non-gain fluorescence detection.

The propagation of two-frequency probing fields in a twolevel dressed atom system can be transformed into a propagation problem in free space and a propagation problem of an equivalent field in a"two-level amplifying atom" system under proper condition. The unique coupling between the light fields and the dressed atom le ads to a combining propagation behavior.

Relaxation oscillation, has baen observed in the light pulse of the amplified Spontaneous emission at the wave length of 627.8nm from gold atom for the first time. The rules of the oscillation in the time and frequency domains are reported respectively. The relaxation oscillation may be a general phenomenon in the pulsing radiation system of high gain lasant.
