    A kind of double exposure synthetic-slit achromatic rainbow holography is proposed in this paper. The structure of point-source hologram, depth of field and resolution of achromatic image are discussed in detail.

    Reflection gratings are constructed with red(647.1nm), green (5l4.5nm)and blue (488.0nm) laser beamrespeotively using quasi-panchromatic photopolymer plates. The curves of percent transmission versus wavelength are given. Using subtractive films, colour reflection holograms are recorded with red, green and blue beam from Ar+-Kr+ laser simultaneously. Chromatioity coordinates and colour fidelity of colour reflection holograms are discussed.

    We present a colliding pulse passively mode-looking Nd: YAP(Nd: YAlO3) laser using an unstable plano-convex resonator configuration with an antiresonant rineg Using this system, we have obtained a perfect mode-locking pulse train. At 1Hz repetition rate, shorter than 10ps average pulsewidth and up to 80mJ output energy of thepulse train are obtained. There are three higher pulses in the centre of the pulse train. The reproducibility of mode-looking pulse train and the stabilityo output energy are excellent.

    Self-pumped phase conjugation has been observed in Ce-doped (K0.5Na0.5) 2y (Sr0.61 Ba0.39)1-yNb2O6 crystal by using He-Ne laser at 632.8nm. The phase conjugate reflectivity as high as 40% was measured. The reflectivity as a function of incident angles and the relation of response time to the incident powers were studied experimentally

    Laser multiphoton ionization mass spectra of Fe (CO) 5 were studied at 355 nm, 632 nm and 355nm+532nm, with a supersonic molecular beam and a time-of-flight mass spectrometer. Our experimental results show the resonance enhancement in the two-color laser multiphoton ionization of Fe(CO)5. We have estimated the cross-section and the lifetime of ion-molecule reaction between Fe+ and Fe (CO) 5, and the dissociation lifetimes of photo-excited Fe(CO)5 and Fe(CO)by examining the broading and structure of ion peaks in the time-flight mass spectra.

    The transient coherent multipho ton forward scattering in crystal LiB3O5 has been studied. The experimental result hag shown some nonlinear interaction processes (x(2) and x(3))in LBO. Moreover, the upper limit value of the grating lifetime of LBO has been measured and Optical Coupling Effect has not been observed.

    In this paper we present a method of separation of variables in evaluating propagation constants and field distributions of gulden modes in a rib waveguide with trapezoidel cross section. The formulas are simple in form and easy to apply. Calculated results done with pocket calculator agree well with that of exact numerical analysis.

    Optical bistability in the ZnSe/ZnS multiple quantum wells (MQWs) grown by MOCVD has been observed at 77 K for the first time with ns switching time. On the bases of the shape of hysteresis loop and photoluminescence and absorption spectrum measured, the optical bistability in the ZnSe/ZnS MQWs can be attributed to enhanced absorption effect, which originated from the collision broadening of excitonic resonance.

    A liquid photoacoustic detector suitable to Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectrometer with a condenser microphone as coupling unit is described in this paper. The experiments with the use of this detector show that the interfering signal arising from vapor absorption can be eliminated. We also present a better method for measuring FT-IE spectrum of aqueous sample in this paper.

    It is pointed ont that the Split-step Fourier Method and the Propagating-beam Method are equivalent, and namerically calculated by the method that a pair of soliton pulses propagate in a fiber with bhe initial equal changeable amplitudes-Our results show that the interaction between solitons can be much greately reduced by raising their amplitudes.

    A new method for recording colour hologram is proposed is this paper. Using liquid crystal ligh valve (LCLV) and a monohromatio laser. LOLV is a device with which incohernt light image can be translated into coherent light image. Three holograms corresponding to, three primary colour are recorded respectively on the same ailTer holide plate using a laser of 6328 A This hologram can reconstruote original colour image using whste light.

    Compared to the conventional in terference filter, the main disadvantage of holographic filter is its higher background noise. In this paper, a method using slanted fringes is introduced, with which the background noise of a reflection holographic filter can be depressed greatly.

    An effective method for measuring high reflectivity (HR) of laser mirrors and high transmissivity of optical components with antireflective (AR) coats is described in this paper. The features of the method are that n-components with HR or AR ooats are measured at same time, and the measuring error is 1/n of the normal way. Measurements of a group of laser mirrors with HR coats and a group of thin disk with AR coats show the acceptability of the method.

    An experiment on laser amplification using a home made Er+——doped fiber hag been demostrated. A laser amplification at 1.52μm wavelength has been observed with a gain of more than 10 dB when Ar+-laser pump is applied. Some experimental data on Er+-doped fiber and its laser amplifier are given in this paper.

    It is of practical importance for investigating the hyperfine structure of highly-lying energy levels of Uranium 235. We have measured the hyperfine structure of transition 0-16900-33625 1/cm, using double resonance method with two CW lasers The hyperfine structure constants A and B are also given. Thus a simple and precise method is provided for measuring highly-lying energy level structure of refractore and poisonous metals.

    Coherent anti-Stokes Raman spectroscopy has been used for in-situ diagnosis of Tadiofrequency discharge dissociation of silane. Based on the CARS intensity change of the Vi band of SiH4 we have studied the effects of EF power and total gag pressure on the dissociation rates of silane in SiH4-H2 and SiH4-N2 systems. In addition, the dissociation intermediates of silane have been detected by CARS technique with good signal to noise ratio and tentative assignment of the CARS spectrum has been made.
