A new paradigm for complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) integrated circuit teaching based on band gap reference (BGR) chip design is proposed to address the issues of high difficulty in the software usage and single teaching mode in experimental teaching of integrated circuit majors, combined with the requirements of professional training plans for course knowledge and abilities. This study adopts methods such as research analysis, survey questionnaire, theory and practice, and system evaluation to cultivate students’ experimental skills, design ideas, electronic design automation (EDA) methods, and analytical methods, thereby improving their practical ability and innovative awareness in the analog chip design. Teaching practice has shown that this teaching mode has achieved good teaching results in the practical teaching of integrated circuit talent cultivation.
