Suggestions on the development of standardization of liquid crystal display materials
Liquid crystal display is the representative of semiconductor display technology and also the mainstream display technology at present and in the future. With the rise of 5G, AR/VR and other new markets, the display technology as the carrier of information technology will have a broader space for development. At the same time, the requirements of higher performance in color performance, response rate, flexibility, power consumption and lifetime are getting more and more urgent. The development of display technology depends on the innovation of material system. The systematic innovation of liquid crystal display materials is an important driving force for the innovation and development of display technology. The standardization can regulate market behavior and promote the establishment of the best order. It is an important bridge to promote the transformation of scientific and technological achievements into productive forces and a link to promote trade development. The standardization has played an important role in solidifying the innovative achievements of liquid crystal display materials, improving the quality stability, and normalizing the competition of market. In this paper, the industrial system and standard status of liquid crystal display materials are systematically sorted out, the standard system of liquid crystal display materials is scientifically planned, the ideas and suggestions for the construction of the standard system are given in combination with the problems and trends of the development of liquid crystal display standardization in China.
