With the rapid development of laser technology, computer technology and the improvement of image processing and analysis technology, the biomedical image with a single mode is heading toward multimode, and its scale is undergoing a revolutionary transformation.Multi-modality imaging technology can not only realize the multi-angle, multi-parameter structure and function of the same organism and the extraction of comprehensive feature information at the molecular level, but also make up for the deficiency of single mode.In this way, it can improve the accuracy of early detection of diseases and provide patients with more economical, reasonable, accurate and effective treatment plans, which is of great clinical significance for improving people’s quality of life. This paper focuses on the application and new progress of photoacoustic/ultrasound dual-mode imaging technology in biomedical field and brain-related diseases.Systematically discusses the prospect of this fusion technology in the future biomedical field.
