Optical amplification effect in an OBD with delayed feedback at bifurcation points
Optical bistable devices (OBD) with delayed feedback adjusted just before the onset of the first period-doubling bifurcation may amplify a low-amplitude optical signal with a resonant frequency. Theoretical analysis are given.
