Cosmetic biotechnology is a compulsory course for the major of cosmetic technology and engineering. The incorporation of ideological and political education is essential in the development of skilled professionals in the field of cosmetic technology and engineering. By analyzing the content of the cosmetic biotechnology, the ideological and political elements such as scientific spirit, national feelings, workmanship of great powers, patriotism, environmental protection, innovative spirit and mission was excavated. These elements were incorporated into the classroom through case studies, online videos, and topic discussions. Meanwhile, the implementation path of the ideological and political elements was explored based on the Rain Classroom. This study aims to address the issue of “Two skins” in education within the cosmetic specialty and ideological and political education, ultimately enhancing the quality of personnel training in cosmetic technology and engineering programs.
