Measurement of electron density of a gas discharge tube with microwave interferometer
A 3 cm X-band microwave interferometer with a phase-locked amplifier as detector has been used to measure small phase changes as a microwave beam passing through the gas discharge tube.The influences of adding N2, He, Xe in the discharge tube on electron density are studied.
