Obesity is a chronic metabolic disorder involving complex biological mechanisms. This study examines the biological mechanisms underlying obesity development and the resulting health crises, explores the causes of obesity and the weight management challenges faced by diverse populations, and proposes a “five-pronged” coping strategy encompassing individual, peer-group, family, school, and society dimensions for effective obesity prevention and control.
