    Linesurveysarecrucialforpowerdesigners,yettraditionalsurveymethods,includingengineeringsurveying,photogrammetry,andmannedairbornelidar,oftenfallshortofcurrentrequirements.UAVLiDARisflexible,lowcost,convenienttooperate,andthelaserpointcloudhaspenetrability,whichcanobtainlaserpointcloudandimagedataatthesametime,whichcanwellsolvetheshortcomingsinlinesurvey.ThispaperstudiestheapplicabilityofUAVLiDARinlinesurveying.First,thebasicprinciplesandtechnicalroutesaredescribed.Then,keytechnologiessuchasUAVgroundflight,overheadwirecrossingmeasurement,andterrainconsideringclothsimulationfilteringarecarriedout.Research,andfinallythroughexperimentstocarryoutadaptiveresearchandanalysis.TheresultsshowthattheUAVlidarcanobtainlaserandimagedatainthestripareawithlowcostandhighefficiency,thepointclouddensitypenetratingtothegroundis1~3points/m2,thewireelevationmeasurementaccuracyis±0.057m,andthepointcloudplaneisTheaccuracyis±0.12m,andtheelevationaccuracyis0.07~0.23m,allofwhichcanmeettherequirementsoflinesurveyaccuracy.Comparedtotraditionalmethods,UAVLiDARrepresentsatechnologicalleapforward,offeringsignificantapplicationandpromotionpotential.
