Tremella polysaccharide (WSK) and 3 common polyacrylic acid thickeners (Aristoflex? BLV, SepimaxTM ZEN, SepinovTM EMT10) were composed into blended systems, then the thickening efficiency, rheological properties and ion resistance of single systems of WSK and polyacrylic acid thickeners, WSK-polyacrylic acid thickener blended systems were investigated. The results showed that the synergistic thickening interaction between WSK and 3 polyacrylic acid thickeners increased with the increase of WSK and thickeners mass fraction. In rheological experiments, compared with the single systems of WSK and polyacrylic acid thickeners, the pseudoplasticity and the overall strain resistance of 3 WSK/polyacrylic acid thickener blended systems increased. Meanwhile the blended systems were more viscoelastic, showing the elastic characteristics of solid. Compared with the single polyacrylic acid thickeners, the ion resistance of 3 blended systems was ranked as 0.5%WSK-0.5%ZEN>0.5%WSK-0.5%BLV>0.5%WSK-0.5%EMT10 in mass fraction from high to low, which was almost consistent with the order of ion resistance of single polyacrylic acid thickener.
