Driven by the demand of information-based warfare and the rapid development of computer technology and network communication technology,information fusion has achieved great development and has been widely used in the field of battlefield situation awareness.This paper introduces the recent developments in information fusion technology and the applications of information fusion technology in the field of battlefield situation awareness,and also analyzes the development trend of information fusion technology in the field of battlefield situation awareness,and emphatically discusses the future research directions of information deep fusion processing,distributed collaborative situation awareness,and artificial intelligence based fusion processing.
