Experimental Study of the Effects of PMMA Confinement on Laser induced Shock Waves
The effects of PMMA confinement windows on laser induced shock waves are studied with the use of PVDF gauges made by ourselves. These experimental results demonstrate that confinement of the surface with a PMMA overlay provides an effective method to generate laser induced shock waves of high amplitude and long time duration.
