Optical transitions and laser operation of Er3+ions in phosphate glass
he experimental and calculation results of speetroscopic parameters (σp, Ar, β, τ r) of Er3+ ions in Li-Al phosphate glass are given. Efficient energy transfer from chromium via ytterbium to erbium is reported and laser output energy of 3J at 1.54um (300K) is obtained.
