A dye laser cavity with double-prism, beam expander and grating has been (synchronously pumped by repetitive pulsed mode-locked YAG laser light. For R-6G laser dye, the following experimental results have been obtained: pulse duration 30 ps,peak power of the pulse 7.6 MW, pulse repetition rate 20 Hz, averrage power 9.5 mW, line width 0.04 nm (close to the transform limited linewidth). The laser offers the advantages of stable output energy and easy wavelength tuning.
