Cool feeling fabrics as an important branch of thermoregulatory textiles, play a crucial role in enhancing wear comfort. The technical status of cool feeling fabrics was analyzed, and functional fabrics were developed using post-treatment processes. Further investigations were conducted on the mechanisms influencing cool feeling performance through fiber component comparisons and performance testing. The results demonstrated that fabrics containing polyethylene exhibited relatively higher qmax values. After post-treatment, the qmax of the fabrics increased significantly, with the synergistic effect between polyethylene and finishing agents resulting in a greater enhancement of cool feeling performance. Additionally, the performance indicators of the treated fabrics all met national standards, confirming the feasibility of the process. It provides data support for fiber selection and process optimization in cool feeling fabrics.
