Research on infrared photoelectric emission on cathode surface in a glow discharge tube
This paper reports the characteristics of nonresonant photoelectric signal in aglow discharge tube with a cathode irratiated by CW CO laser beam. It is indicated that the cause of the nonresonant photoelectric effect is the photoelectric emission on the surface of cathode at high temperatures and amplified by the gas discharge.
