Various backlight algorithms are analyzed comprehensively in the article. Moreover, considering the real-time characteristics of LCD (liquid crystal display), a new algorithm based on dynamic threshold is proposed. The algorithm is based on the average backlight, combines with the proportion of the image details to adjust the backlight, and can maintain the quality of the image and reduce the power consumption effectively.
