Generation of continuously tunable second harmonics around 295 nm
The ultraviolet second harmonic radiation is efficiently generated by doubling the frequency of a flashlamp-pumped rhodamine 6G dye laser with broaband emission. Using KDP crystal, the UV spectral line width is remarkably narrowed, and the UV frequency is continuously tuned by changing the phase-matching angle.
