In this paper, a new recording technique of rainbow hologram-Projection rainbow holography is proposed. With this technique, the recording process of rainbow hologram is further simplified. And some limitations to traditional recording technique are eliminated. So the performances of large depth of field, wide viewing angle and high resolution are obtained. In this paper, the principle of projection rainbow hologram is presented, it s basic performances are analyzed and some successful applications and possible applications are discussed.

A new method for color image subtraction is proposed in this paper. The two color images encoded separately by two three-primary color gratings with an effective halfperiod shift of color fringes in one step are recorded on the same black-white film. The three-color gratings are formed in real-time by in torference of symmetric orders of 2-D grating diffraction and three-color filters, and the half-period change of color fringes is realized by simple polarization spatial filters. The intensity subtraction of two oolor images then can be obtained easily by decoding in a, white liglit processor. An experimental example is given.

An analysis of multifrequency A-O deflections and diffraction grating for multibeam-splitting techniques applied in the optical disc storage is given in this paper. Based on the theory of binary computer-generated holograms, accurate periodic parameters of a phase grating which can generate equal-intensity multiple beams are obtained by using pulse position modulation in terms of computer analogue. According to the parameters, a phase grating has been fabricated by a special method. The phase grating has a total diffraction efficiency of 73% with the masxmum residual deviation of 1.75 % from the average, which can meet the practical usage.

Simulated synthetic appertnre radar (SAR) data films frtce from error of the SAR operation, but there still are aberrations introduced by the both film thickness variations and Simulated apparatus. In this paper we present a method that wavefront aberrations of simulated SAR data film can be measured by Mach-Zehnder interferometer. The method can be used separately for measuring the wavefront aberrations introduced by two different reasons. The wavefront aberration introduced by the film thickness variations is measured as compared the wavefront through, the iilin with the reference plane wavefront. And as compared separately the diffraction wavefront from the film with iwo reference spherical Avavefronts of different radii we obfciiined separately the azirmith wavefront aberration and the range wavefront aberration introduced by the simulated apparatus. In this paper some experimental results and analyses are presented. The method is also suitable for measuring wavefront aberrations of true SAR data film. The wavefront aberration introdaeed by the film thiokneSv9 variations may be Temoved by a liqnid gate. A tolerance of the wayefront abexrrtion introduced by the film thickness variations is deduced from the Rayleish criterion. From the tolerance we can judge whether or not the liquid gate is necessary.

The linear conversion theory of laser produced plasma filaments is studied in this paper. By calculating the energy flux of the second harmonic emission on the basis of the planar wave-plasma interaction model, it has been found that there exists no 2ω0 harmonic emission in the direction perpendicular to the deasity gradient, in contradiction with, the experiments. Therefore, we have proposed a linear conversion theory on the second harmonic emission from a plasma filament and discovered the intense 2ω0 harmonic emission in the dixoction perpendicular to tiie density gradient. This is in agreement with the experiments.

Reported in this paper are the space and time resolved structures of second harmonic emission from laser irradiated microtube targets observed at backscattering direction. The process of laser-microtubo interaction has been analysed. By using the plasma-filament interaction theory, we primarily explained the special phenomena of the backseattering 2nd harmonic emission within the microtube region.

A couple-multi-stripe laser diode has been fabricated by means of LPE methods, which is integrated by fifteen oxide-isolated stripe diode lasers. The peak power of pulse is 4W/facet (300ns. 5kHz). On the basis of numerical analysis for waveguide characteristics of the single stripe laser, some properties of waveguide for the eouple-rnulti-stripe laser have been analyzed and calculated. The results are in agreement with experiment basically.

The behavior of the three-level single-mode laser in the presence of an applied field and a saturable absorber is revealed near the losing -threshold. It is shown by quantitatively calculating that nonlinearity of laser field and introduction of applied field cause the correspondence of steady states of the laser with the canonical cusp catastrophe manifold. In this paper the physical meaning of the cusp catastrophe manifold is explained in more detail. The quantitative condition for optical bistability generation is given.

Starting from the master equation for density operator of the atoms and the field mode and applying the operator method of adiabatic elimination of the atomio variables developed by Haake and Lewenstein, we derived the Fokker-Planck Equation for Wigner function of the lightfield and its steady-state solution. With a Gaussian approximation to the solution, analytical and numerical results on the photon statistics for various pumping strengths are obtained. Comparisons with previous works are made.

A new methed for correction of asymmetrical interferogram is presented. After once application of this new method a asymmetrical interferogram will be absolutely symmetric so that the distortion of complete spectrum will bo corrected. The theory and experiments show that this new method is more efficient than other available phage correcting methods in FTS.

The lifetime of atoms and molecules can be measured by using modulated resonant single-mode laser field. A theoretical mode for this method is presented. It is shown that the laser induced fluorescence, a resonance flourescence is modulated at the same frequency, but phase shift from the exciting laser. The phase shift is mainly due to three processes (1) coherent excitation process characterized by transverse relaxation rate and line width of the laser, (2) population damping process characterized by the relaxation time by which the system to be in equilibrium state. The effect of these processea on measurement result is discuesed. The Doppler broading is considered also.

The CAES spectra of v1 and v8 vibrational modes of silane (SiH4) have been measured and analyzed. By means of the polarization CAKS technique, the spectrum of v8 band is separated from that of v1 band and so the CARS spectrum of pure v3 band has been obtained. The frequency shift between the Q-branoh peaks at v1 and v8 as well as the ratio of their Hainan cross-sections square have been determined from polarization CAES spectrum and by computer simulation.

Raman and infrared spectra measurement of (50-x)AlF3-xYF3-50MeF3 (Me= Ca+Ba+Mg+Sr, x=0, 10, 15, 20, 30) glasses have been conducted. A1F3 and YF3 skeletons in glass structure are discussed based on the vibrational spectra. It ia shown that the structure unit in a glass without YF3 is composed of both [AIF6]3-octahedrons and [AlF4] ~ tetrahedrons. In the case where a part of A1F8 is replaced by YF3 in glass compositions, however, the YF3 will be present in the form of 8-coordination in glass structure.
