Various possible recording and reconstruction geometries of astigmatic one-step rainbow holography are analyzed. Quantitative conditions for obtaining orthoscopic and pseudoseopio quasi-monochromatic reconstructed images are derived. A method using the reciprocal triangle to determine the geometry of aperture conjugation technique in astigmatic rainbow holography is introduced.

    In this paper., laser materials of glassy tetraphosphate with Nd3+ion concentrations of 0.13x1021 (cm-3) to 4 xl021(em-3) are reported and the data of spectral properties for this kind of laser glass are given. Concentration quenching mechanism of Nd3+ions in these materials is discussed in particular.

    A pulsed dye laser system combining the advantages of beam expansion by a grating at grazing incidence and compound cavity tuning is described. It can produce an output of less than 0.1 A line width over a tunable range of greater than 500 A. The tuning efficiency can exceed 30%. Compared with a tuning cavity using just the grazing-incidence grating, the output power can be increased by several factors.

    D2O-CH3F gas-mixture in a superradiat tube was optically pumped using TEA CO2 laser pulses and FIB laser emissions at 66m, 114 um and 385 um from D2O vapour and 496um from CH3F gas were obtained. The characteristics of this laser are described and a comparison with single gas FIE laser is made.

    This paper analyses spatial distribution of injection carriers in the active layer of planar stripe lasers with deep Zn diffusion. It is elucidated theoretically that the spreading current along the junction direction in the P-AlxGa1-x As cladding layer of the planar stripe lasers with deep Zn diffusion can be neglected. Therefore, spatial distribution of injection carriers in the active layer of the planar stripe lasers with deep Zn diffusion is much narrower than that of the conventional planar stripe lasers. Consequently, its gain-induced guide is much narrower than that of the conventional planar stripe lasers too. This proves theoretically the conclusion in [1], i. e. it is the narrowing of gain-induced guide of the planar stripe lasers with slightly doped or undoped active layer and deep Zn diffusion that causes the stabilization of the lateral modes.

    This paper reports a CW visible GaAlAs semiconductor laser at room temperature. The lasing wavelenth is about 7600 A. All the electrical and optical parameters of this visible laser are comparable to those of infrared GaAs-GaAlAs double-heterostructure lasers.

    Based on the principle of Z-pinch ion laser technology, a detachable pulsed ion laser system has been developed. All the parts of the laser system were made by mechanical process except the quartz discharge tube and the cavity mirrors. Laser output at several wavelengths were obtained with argon or xenon as lasing medium.

    108 eases of hemorrhoids have been treated by C02 laser, with a curative rate of 100%. New operating instruments have been developed, such as heat-resisting hemorrhoids nucleus forcepsand probe without reflection of light. This therapeutic method has the main merits of no bleeding during and after operation, no pain, good curative effect and no relapse.

    A He-Ne laser was used to treat radioder-matitis of patients with cancer. Serum IgG levels were detected before and after the treatment. An average increase of 224 mg% (P< 0.005) was observed. It is considered that He-Ne laser may exert influence on immune factors in blood, provoke B-cell and promote humoral immunity. So it may be refered to as a regulator of immune response.

    This paper describes the treatment of 35 cases of tumour, paralysis, arthritis, tenositis, mastitis, contution, trauma, diarrhoer, and dysentery in veterinary, 32 cases were cured using a He-Ne laser. Laser therapy proves to he effective in antipruritine, antinfan, antiinflammatory, antiphlogistine and wound recovery. It is painless, free from side-effects, safe and effective. This therapeutic method is a promising one in veterinary clinic.

    In order to investigate the healing mechanism of skin ulcers, the plate innoculated with staphylococcus aureus and pseudomonas aeruginosa was irradiated with low power CO2 and He-Ne laser light, becteria was not inhibited obviously.
