In this paper the multi-dimension movement of a roasting shaft under vibrations is studied and a novel method of optical measurement of torsional and transversal vibrations in a drive train is proposed. With modern optoelectronic digital signal processins and microcomputer techniques, the measuring device is developed.

Using the amplitude apodized edge, phase apodized edge and serrated edge, the illumination uniformity of the focus spot can be improved by suppressing the diffraction of the lens array. In this peper, the characters of these three methods are analysed and applied to the uniform illumination of high power lasers.

The carrier recombination time and the diffusion coefficient of Cu2O ultrafine particles have been obtained at room temperature by take-delayed four-wave miaing with inCoherent light, being TR=1.2 ns and D=0.011 cm2/s. The method is verified by angle change experiment between the forward pump beam and the probe beam and the temperature varyins experiment. The diffusion Process is discussed.

A novel type fiber optic measuring system of high accuracy was successfully manufactured and the in situ one-time measurement was realized with an electrionics-free sensor head. A new balanced bridge referencing compensation technique was introduced so that the sensor was immune to various adverse effects and had higher measurement accuracy. According to practical needs, the measurement ranse of pressure from 0 up to 147.10 kpa was determined. The measurement accuracy is 0. 2%. Error was analyzed in detail and corresponding methods to reduce the measurement error were given.

This paper summarizes mutation breeding in Shatian Pumello by laser irradiation since 1988. The perthenocarpy and seedless were observed in the gererations of L1 and L2. The analysis of isoenzyme showed that the laser irradiation can induce the heredity variation of Shatian Pumello.

The Nd:YAG lasers one-end pumped by two polarizition-coupled CW 1.5 W laser diodes and two-end pumped by two CW 1.5 W laser diodes are reported. The maximum output Power of 680 mW and 492 mW of a TEM00 mode YAG laser at 1.064 μm with overall optical efficiency of 26.4 % and 17.7% is obtained respectively. A theoretical analysis is given.

A second-harmonic of a copper vapor laser whichis output from an oscillatoramplifer system with a self-fliering unstable resonator is generated in BBO crystal by a line focus. The conversion efficiency reached 14.4% at 5.4 W fundamental power. A pattern of 1.0 μm lines and spases is resolved by contact photolithography on 255.3 urn line for the first time.

For a CW Ti: sapphire rins laser without optical diode, there are two output beams corresponding to two oppositely traveling waves in the cavity. Unidirectional operation is obtained when one of the output beams is reflected back into the cavity. In this paper, the experimental results of an unidirectional operation laser, includins input-output curve, the power ratio of the two oppositely travelins waves under different coupler transittunces and pump levels, the tuning characteristics with a prism in the external cavity, and the narrowing of the output spectrum with etalons, are given.

Because of the birefrinsence effect, when a quartz plate is placed in a He-Ne cavity, the phenomenon of mode splitting will occur. This peper reports the nonlinear relation between the quantity of mode splitting and the angle between a laser ham and optical axis of a quartz plate. Experiment is done, showins that the optical activity is a factor which influences mode splitting.

In this peper, the laser power dependence measurement of Si(CH3)4 with parallel plate ionization cell at some wavelengths was reported and the assignment of some transitions in multiphoton ionization(MPI) spectra was discussed. By analysing the pekwidths of time-of-flight (TOF) mass spectra and other experimental results, the possible MPI process of Si(CH3)4 has been studied. It concluded that Si+ mainly came from silicon ionization after neutral molecular fragmentation at higher energy laser radiation, whereas Si(CH3)+n (n=1~3) mainly came from auto-ionization of neutral molecular fragments.

In this paper, the reconstruction precision of Radon transform iteration, which is used in interferometric tomography for 3-D refractive index fields with an opaque object, has been studied by computer simulation. As an example, the method has been used to reconstruct the hot gas temperature fields, and the results are compared with thermocouple measurements.

Based on the two-wave mixins, the equations of the intensity coupling caused by electroabsorption and the electrorefraction gratings, through the Franz-Keldysh effect in the photoreftactive multiple quantum wells, are exactly solved. The intensities of high order difftaCtions in Raman-Nath regime are approximately calculated.

Single mode masneto-optic waveguides have been prefered by continuous growth of a double layer liquid phase epituxy (BiAl) YIG film. By adjusting the difference of refractive index of the double layer film, single mode operation can be realized with a certain waveguide thickness. X-ray diffraction and masnetic anisotropy were measured respectively. Finally a dark m line was observed.
