The structure of a Mo/Si multilayer fabricated with planiar magnetron sputtering has been inveStigated by using SAXD and HRTEM techniques. The FC-digital image processing syStem, which can easily give us the digital results of the structure parameters of multilayer, has been induced in analyses of HRTEM.

In this paper, we study the properties of speckle fields emitted multimode fiber-optic boundle under illumination of the He-Ne laser light. The difference among the speckle-fields emitted by the multimode fiber-optic boundles, which consist of fibers of different cope diameters, is discussed, and compared with the speckle-field of frosted glass. The rightness of conclusions has been verified by the experiments, and the field can be used in optical measurement and information processing.

Basing on pyroclectric theory, a novel millimeter wave ther enetgy detectot with high sensitivity and fast response has been proposed and designed. We calibrated it at different operating frequencies separately. Its main propetty Parameters have been given. Sensitivity of this energy meter is about several ten mV/μJ, which is four to five orders higher thsn traditional detector. Its time response is less than 1 μs. The speed of response has been improved by six to seven orders. This energy meter has been used in detective system of Raman free-electron laser. We successfully measured the typical parameters of the output millimeter wave laser pulse.

In this paper, the stability of Periodic resonators is analysed. It is found that the m-rod N- Period resonator has m stable zones and in each stable zone there are N-1 sinsular points in which the resonators is critical stable and sensitive to the deviations. The thermo-stable conditions of Periodic resonators is also discussed.

A novel algorithm of image processing for the analysis of carrier fringe pattern is proposed. Only one fringe Pattern that is carrier ceded is need for extracting unambiguous information. The coded fringe pattern is first FFF filtered to get an initial phase with carrier phase in it. Several times of phase shift iteration are carried out to improve the phase. Then the carrier is removed by subtracting the pure barrier phase from the cede phase. The algorithm offer higher precision over the FFT-transform technique in literature.

The characterization of a ferroelectric liquid crystal light valve has been performed. To evaluale the FLCLV,a new set of parameters such aS read-out efficiency, effeCtive gain and spatial uniformity was introduced. The experimental results are given in derail. The clock effect of the FLCLV on the reading and writing operation are discussed.

The fabricating method and the annealing properties of the ptoton-exchanged LiTaO3 waveguide are reported in this Paper. The refractive index Profiles of the waveguide layer before and atter annealing are given, and the surface refractive index increment and the diffusion coefficients are caculated. It is show that the refractive index increment of the waveguide correlates with the ratio between the annealing time and the exchanging time.

Nanometer SiC ceramic powder has been produced by TEA CO2 laser induced SiH4+CH4 plasma chemical reaction. Powder character and property have ben studied through FTIR spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, elements analysis and transmution electron microscopy technique. In addition, the gas-phase reaction process was discussed with the result of optical emission spetroscopy.

To protect the water erosion a cobat base alloy coating has been cladded on the leading edge of the moving blabes in the lower pressure-last sarge of steam turbines by a 2 kW CO2 laser, and the blades have been put intO trial operaton in a electric power plant. This paper introduces the technology and the equipment on laser cladding processing of bledes and discusses the experimental results. The results indicate that it is possible to use the laser cladding technique for Production of moving bledes.

The skin changes of the guinea pig under laser irradiation were observed. It is found that the collagen fibers are swelled, the periodic transverse striation can nat in distrinction, and the elastic fibers in dermis at the irradiated sites are thickened, curled, and fragmented. These results might be induced by the thermoeffect of laser.

Via two-hphoton resonant excitation of sodium atom (3S→4D) in Na-Na2 mixture by the laser at 578.7 nm, more than forty stimulated emission lines in the UV 320-370 nm region were obtuinted. Passing labeling and analysing, it has been demonstrated that the UV stimulated emiSSion lines are come from in Na2, which was excited by the FWM wave in Na as the consequent pumping source of the assemble.

A mathematical model is obtained for the description of ultrafast stimulated Raman scattehog in optical fibers with slowly decreasing dispersion. Numerical simulations show that, under identical pump conditinns, Raman pulse generated from this kind of fibers is shorter with a higher ark power than that generated from conventional fibers. This means that the Raman threShold of fibers with slowly decreasing dispersion may be lower than that of conventional fibers. Given pump conditions, we found that the highest peak power and narrowest width of the Raman pulse correspond to an optimal decrement velocity of the fiber dispersion.

This paper investigatny the charaCteristics of the spatial distribution of laser plasma X-ray (LPX) formed by irradtatins a plasma with X-ray emitted from another plasma. The results show the influence of plasma emissions and the spatial geometty of the two interacting plasmas on the total PLX'radiation fields. In addition, the poper also indicated the X-ray enhsncement, the extremely nonunifotm distribution of the election density, and the plasma jet structure in the interaction region.

The novel luminescence crystal, Na5Tm(WO4)4, has been grown from Na2WO4 melt. The single crystals as large as 2 mm×2 mm×2 mm were obtained. According to formula of crystal planes space of the tetragonal system and calculation of regtession analysis, the lattice parameters of Na5Tm(WO4)4 crystal were measured. Their values are a=1.1386 nm, c=1.1283 nm,c/a=0.991. In this Paper, the aborption, fluorescence, excitation and infrared spectra of such crystal at room temperature were measured and analysed at the same time, according to Judd-ofelt theory the intensity parameters, oscillator strengths of Tm3+ ion were measured. From these results it is noted that the Na5Tm(WO4)4 crystal is a important luminescence material at blue spectral range.
