Newly developed Raman Notch Filters (RNF) were applied to the following cases:a. Using RNF as a pre-filter of a common monochromator to record Raman spectra of benzene, the exciting wavelength was the second harmonic generation of a Q-switched YAG pulsed laser (532 nm). b:Observing the stimulated emission due to the weak transition near 1.064 μm in a Q-switched frequency-doubled Nd3+:YAG laser with RNF as laser (532 nm) suppression apparatus. RNF can suppress the straylight at the laser wavelength by a factor of 108.

In this paper, a new algorithm for solving inversion of size distribution of submicron sized small particles is proposed. Numerical simulation and experimental study demonstrate that this method can effectively expand the measurable lower limit of laser particle sizer to 0.1 μm.

This paper presents an experimental research on the collision transition between two upper levels of copper atom with an oscillator-amplifier chain of copper vapor laser. In this experiment, the phenomenon of this kind of collision transition in case of high buffer gas pressure was observed through the comparison of laser pulse waveform which was obtained when different oscillation laser was fed into amplifier. Therefore, the existance of this kind of transition was proved by this experiment. The mechanism of this kind of transition is also dicussed.

The application of laser real- time holography and speckle photography amplification to measure the rock elasticity parameters is briefly introduced. The data concluded in interference fringe was analyzed and compared with those from traditional measurement. Measurement results are presented as follows : Poisson' s ratio μ of rock by laser real-time holography, and Young' s modulus E of rock by speckle photography amplification; straining slice of resistance; speckle photography amplification method is easy to measure rock elasticity parameter is practice.

High- Tc superconducting fibers with highly oriented grain structure have been grown by means of Laser-Floating-Zone Growth(LFZG). A CW CO2 laser has been taken to produce a miniature controlled melting zone at 800-1100°C. The a-b planes of the grains are parallel to the fiber axis (along the growth direction), providing the ideal . condition for current conduction. The measured Tc is 110 K and Jc more than 5000 A/cm. The influence of growth technology and post growth heat treatment condition on the structure and the superconducting properties is also discussed.

An experimental demonstration of Na atomic line filter detected by field ionization is pressented. Atomic line filter for different wevelengths can be produced with other alkali elements and the same method.

This paper describes theory and setup of optical novelty filter, which was used for detecting particle in transparent liquid, and analyses experimental factors to affect measuring accuracy. Using this device, 15μm site particle could be detected, and it' s repeatability is up to 98.6%.

Based on experimental of irradiation of 60 rabbit's brain with a CO2 laser, we studied the ultrapathologicai change and the reversity of the damaged tissue. The author thought that the damaged area of brain tissues irradiated by CO2 laser could be classified into 4 zones : charring zone, coagulation zone, edema zone and periedema zone. The total width is about 380 μm and the irreversible area of damaged tissue is about 300 μm.

Fluorescence spectrum of transplanted tumour (mammary cancer), normal skin and gastric mucosa injected with AlSPc plus excited by dye laser (λ=607 nm) were studied in 18 mice. The main fluorescence peak of the tumour tissues spectra are located at about 681.9 nm, whereas this peak of normal skin are located around 682.7 nm, and the grastric muoosa are at 682.2 nm. The fluorescence intensity of the tumour than normal akin is 7.5:1 and the fluorescence intensity of the tumour than normal grastric mucosa. It has demonstrated selective localization and retention of AlSPc in cancerous tissues and SlSPc was less cytotoxic to cells. It may become a new potential photosensitizer in PDT of cancers.

High yield strains in laser breeding of S. rimosus were obtained by irradiation with He-Ne laser or copper vapor laser. It increased yield by about 6. 79% higher than that of the controlled ones. The highest unit of fermentation arrived at best level. It was already applied in China.

An all optical associative memory is presented in which the dynamic holographic storage element and phase conjugation mirror are made up with LiNbO3. A new method of storing image is proposed which can double the storage capacity of the all optical associative memory.

A simple one-step method is presented of making 360° rainbow hologram on a plane holographic plate using a concave mirror, which is called panoramic rainbow hologram. The conditions to obtain restructed orthoscopic image are given, and the method of eliminating holographic aberrations is presented based on the analysis and discussions of the aberrations.

The transmission of autocorrelation function of random light wave was used to give the rigorous calculation of the image intensity produced by the double- exposure specklegram placed on the input plane of the filtering system, and the fringe contrast as a function of the object displacement and shape of the filtering hole was obtained. The theoretical result was verified by both square and circular hole filterings.

This paper introduces laser powder sintering as a new technique to synthesize electronic ceramics consisting of A12O3-WO3 system. This material has some unique properties such as linear decrease in resistivity of A12O3- 50 mol % WO3 specimens with increasing temperature over the range of 10 ℃ to 150 ℃. X-ray photographic powder analysis indicated that the conducting phase in the specimen is a nonequilibrium product:A1xWO3.
