Laser damage threshold and their morphologies are reported of ZrO2, TiO2 and Ti3O5 single and multilayers at 1.06μm, 0.53μm and 0.35 μm with a pulsewidth of 10 ns in TEM00 mode. It is found that the damage threshold is directly proportional to λ 1.2-1.5.

The lifetime of Cu metastable states 2D3/2 and 2D5/2 are obtained by measuringthe laser-induced fluorescence dependence of delay time on the narrow pulse discharge HCD lamps. This method is simple and has other advantages and great potential.

QHS and SRFC were applied to observe the effects of He-Ne laser irradiation on AFC in mice. The results show the spleen region in mice irradiated by He-Ne laser at three-different power levels can increase antibody forming cell activities. The laser irradiated groupwas compared with that of the noemal control group, the difference waa highly significant (P <0.01). The resluts show that laser may have some immunoreguation action.

This paper presents the principle and the features of a new spatial amplitude encoding pattern method implementing optical parallel array logic gates. A systematic algorithm is also presented for designing high speed combinational logic operation in parallel and the physical concept of AND and OB array gates is clarified. Experimental results for 16 combinational logic operation in an 8f coherent optical processing system are shown.

The calculation of a complex-multinomial is discussed and a new optical method performing truth-table look-up processing is proposed. Adopting complementary-encoding of light intensity and volume holography, a content-addressable optical holography truth table look-up system based on the NAND operation is structured. The experimental study results which prove the system feasible are given.

When a laser beam is incident onto a double-frequency holographic grating attached on a vibrating object, the intensity in the first order diffraction is modulated by the vibration. In this paper, the principle and some experimental results of this method are presented, and a brief discussion about the prospects of its applications is given.

Pulsed operation of a 126×12×6mm3 Nd:YAG slab laser is deseribed. The output energy from the free-running o scillator is 24J/shot with an efficiency of 2.5%, and that from the Q-switched laser is 860mJ/shot with a pulse width of 12-15ns and a switching efficiency of 72%.

Methods is deeribed of amplification and absorption at 578.2nm transition line with a CW stable ring dye laser light going through a copper-bromide discharge tube and the population densities of 2P1/2 and 2D3/2 levels are obtained. Inverse densities of upper and lower levels concerning 578.2nm transition line with variable output power is obtained by the yellow light self-amplification method.

Results of the recombination pumped soft X-ray laser gain experiment of L-like silicon ions are described. The spectra from line-focused laser plasmas on slab silicon targets in 5-12nm region are taken by an 1m unastigmatic grazing incidence grating spectro-graph. The gain coefficients of Si11+5f-3d(8.89nm) and 5d-3p(8.73nm), deduced from the ratio of on-axis to off-axis time-integrated intensity are 1.4cm-1 and 0.9 cm-1, respectively; The corresponding gain coefficients deduced from the growth curve of on-axis intensity with the length of th eline-focused laser plasma are 1.5 cm-1 and 1.4 cm-1, respectively.

Bing osoillation produced by amplified scattering and the frequency shift of phase conjugate wave in self-pumped BaTiO3 crystals are reported. The ring oscillator with photorefractive gain is analysed by means of Lamb's semiclassical theory. The theoretical analysis explains reasonably the experimental results.

From two dimensional steady state plasma fluid equations, assuming a balance of radial electron thermal pressure and radial pondermotive force in the cyliudrical symmetrio distribution of electron density in laser irradiated region, the analytical results have been deduced of radial electron density dip structure in the laser field region and the axial electron density profile steepening near the critical density due to the pondermotive force. The analytical results are consistent with the experimental results measured by a 266 nm UV optical pbobe.

Using T1AP and PET crystal spectrograph, we analysed the soft X-ray spectrum of Y-Mo laser-produced plasma, and found that the spectral lines are emmitted by Y-Mo Ne-like ions with similar structure. In addition, we also analysed and classified the soft X-ray spectra of Na-like isoeleetronic sequences of these elements.
