    The transition probabilities and the life-time concerned for fluorine atoms and Si+ ions are calculated with the help of angular theory momentum and Coulumb approximation method. It is confirmed that the laser emission at 634.8nm is produced by the atomic transition of fluorine 3p4S1/2 0-3s4P3/2.

    A two channel fast discharge pumped excimer laser was designed. The jitter time bettween two output laser beams was measured as ±1 ns at the operation pressure of 1 atm,and ±5 ns at 2 atm, respectively. The output energy of each channel was 80-100 mJ, the maximum was approximatly 150 mJ.

    In this paper, we give the simple analytic expressions of picosecond pulses in synchronfously pumped dye laser, and also some discussion and explanation based on the above theoretical results. This theory proved especially that for the pulsewidth and average power of synchronously pumped dye laser there exists an optimum value.

    An extremely small hole of about 10-20μm in diameter was made in a glass plate with special technology. A differential action of seven orders in pressure ratio was achieved with this hole and a turbo-molecular pump of 4501/s. Using this system, direct analysis of gas components in 300 mm wave guide CO2 lasers and 800 mm normal type has been performed during their early working period. Some results are presented.

    Multimode waveguides in the soda-lime substrate glass are fabricated by applying an electric field assisted ion migration process and a post-diffusion baking at the diffusion temperature. Fabricating the multimode immerse planaer optical waveguide in glass by two-stage ion migration process is successful. The m-line spectrum of waveguides are measured and the refractive-index profiles in the waveguides are calculated by the White method.

    In this paper,we describe a comprehensive measurement method of major parameters for semiconductor lasers. It has been used to measure threshold current, light output power. L-I characteristics, near-field and far-field distribution., lasing spectrum, structure and luminous position of devices can be measured and observed without moving the measured samples.

    In this article, a new method of producing linearly variable spatial frequency grating is proposed and expression of grating frequency is given. This is very simple and reliable. The range of grating frequency can be easily varied by adjusting the geometrical parameters of the experimental arrangement.

    This paper describes a new laser valve large screen dsplay of three colour high density information. Its resolution is 4×106 pixel and the display area is 1.6×1.6m3. The overlapping accuracy of two colour images is better than 0.1%.

    Laser beam excursion through atmosphere above the water surface and the land is presented. The results show that the beam excursion curves of the two paths have similar outline and cycle,and are similar to those of the temperature except of their phase ahead of 0.17-0.21π. The amount of beam excursion through the land path hL in vertical direction in one cycle 24 hrs is greater than that of the water path hw, and hL/hW equals to 1.14-1.40.

    This paper reports an experimental setup of real time speckle shearing interferometer. In the setup we use Fe:LiNbO3 crystal as recording medium for the speckle photography. The. transmissivity at A=488nm is <5%. The wedge angle of the shearing lens is 1°. The image hologram is simultaneously constructed on the Fe:LiNbO3 crystal while the shearing speckle phothgraphy is taken by the shearing lens on the crystal. This setup can be used in measuring the deformation and real time nondestructive testing.

    The basic principle for measuring the visual acuity of the eye f undus using two-beam laser interferemetry is described. The optical system of laser interference optometer is described in diagram. The results of clinical research in 90 cases having poor eyesight and special examples with ordinary disease in ophthalmology are reported. It is pointed out that the phenomenon of "flash start" is important in the measurement of visual acuity of the retina-brain system.

    A He-Ne laser having eight laser lines in 1.15μm region with a dispersive cavity is reported. The eight lines are at 1.1986 μm, 1.1767 μm, 1.1614μm, 1.1601 μm, 1.1524 μm, 1.1409μm, 1.0844μm and 1.0798 μm respectively. The optimum discharge current has been measured and output power is obtained in the range of 0.025-2.02 mW.

    200 cases of diarrhea infants are treated with He-Ne laser acupoint irradiation, with an effetiveness of 96.5%. This theray is characterized by its shorter course of treatment, remarkable curative effect, simplicity and safety, painlessness and noside-effect.

    This article studies a contrast between 204 cases of enuresis cured by laser acupuncture-point irradiation and 78 cases cured by medicine treatment of meclofenox-ine. The full recovery rate for laser treatment was 45.09% and the total effective rate was 89.22%, while the full recovery rate for meclofenoxine treatment was 33.3% and the total effective rate was 70.5%. There is a very remarkable difference beween the two treatments (P <0.001).The problem of response produced after laser irradiation is stressed. 97. 79% of the patients had the response effect within six irradiations.

    33 eases of children’s mumps have been treated with low power He-Ne laser irradiation on acupoints of earlobe and acquired obvious effects. The possible mechanism is discussed.
