In this paper, we present the third order expansion of gain of mode-locked equation, and solved the equation with Lagrange multiplier method. The results provide) simple analytic expressions for the pulsewidth, pulse intensity and delay (which is the advance of the pump pulse relative to the dye pulse) in synchronously pumped dye laser. They can explain satisfactorily some experimental results[4].
Stimulated Raman scattering (SRS) experiments in hydrogen were performed with a eollimated beam from an X-ray preionization discharge XeCl laser operating at 308 nm. The photodiode output profile S1, S2 and S3 stoken lines were observed. The reduction, of beam spread angle and pulse duration of SRS were analysed theoretically.
Optogalvanie spectra of Ne has been investigated with a coumarin 460 dye laser, and up to 30 lines have been obtained in the wave band between 451 mm and 472 nm. The error of wavelength measurement is within 0.02 nm.
Based on nonlinear coupled-wave theory, the existence of optical Pockels effect on the condition of special three-wave mixing is shown theoritically. The physical conditions for this effect are also derived.
In this paper, we report the experimental results of a two-pass amplification atomic iodine laser amplifier. For an iodine amplifier working under the condition lower than those in the saturation region, two-pass amplification can increase the efficiency of the iodine laser amplifier obviously.Besides,we found that He is the best among He, Ar, SF6 usually used as buffer gases in iodine lasers. It has obvious advantages especially in reducing the beam deformation produced by optical pumping and in holding beam direction.
An integrated surface multi-junction MOMOM(metal-oxide-metal-oxide-metal) is reported and coherent electro-magnetic oscillation is observed in the low frequency range.
The rotational nonequilibrium phenomenon in a CW DF chemical laser was experimentally studied. The dual-peak character in the output spectral intensity profile was obterved with a fast mixing nozzle for the first time. The same phenomenon does not occur with slow mixing nozzles, nor with HF as lasant.
The preparation of large single crystals of rare earch metal borides and transition metal carbides with homogeneous composition and high purity is given with VC cryatals taken as an example.
The laser characteristics of a series of substituted PBO are investigated. Some of them exhibit higher conversion efficiencies than PBO and thier tuning ranges are between 378-429.2 nm. The effects of substituents on laser characteristics are discussed.
Linear structures in the pictures can be enhanced by using a Pabry-Perot etalon in their image planes. The directionality and spatial frequency enhanced are tunable. This paper discusses the principle of this method which has been proved experimentally. The obtained results have been compared with those of some other methods of spatial filtering.
A new theoretical basis of novel laser alignment instrument is put forward. It proves that the position of the basic line will not be influenced when the laser beam has translation and angular motion. This character is very important in increasing the precision of alignment instruments and the analysis is in good agreement with the experement results.
As usual an axially incident linearly polarized light beam reflected by a glass corner-cube reflector (OCR) will(become an elliptic polarized light. There are two particular azimuth angles. At these angles the linearly polarized light beam incident at the OCR will still be a linearly polarized light when it goes out of the OCR except that the plane of the beam polarization has been varied. In this paper we calculated these two paticular azimuth angles and the variations of the plane of the out-going beams. These results were proved experimentally.
The silicon steel Q112B plate of 0.35mm thickness was welded with a low power CW CO2 laser. The bending property, microstructure, composition and fracture appearance of the joints were determined and compared to those of the joints made by other welding techniques.
Spatial motion of a tooth produced by orthodontic forces is discussed in this paper. Rotation center and resistance center of the tooth are computed from parameters obtained by observing fringe patterns on five chosen points.
In this paper, the principleof of cell analytical technique and device structure based on cell fluorescence and scattered light by laser radiation are described. Some methods to collect and process experimental data are presented.
Using color center LiF as Q switch of Nd3+: phosphate-glass laser, a stable high power laser has been obtained. This paper discusses some ways to increase the probability of smooth pulses, to stabilize the smooth pulses and to increase the modulation depth of mode-locking pulses.
It is possible to achieve optical bistability in some nonlinear optical materials. This based mainly is on the analysis of transmissivity change of color center crystals caused by resonant optical orientation (ROO), and no feedback-mirror is required in these systems.
A Y- branch waveguide switch and modulator using total internal reflection is made. The extinction ratio is 80.6%, phase voltage is 13.5V for TM mode. The calculated value of 3dB band width is 2.12 GHz and modulation experiments were made.
