By using Fourier-transform holograms as coded masks in the coded grating Fourier-transform diffraction interferometry with extended white light illumination[4] a new kind of Fourier-spectrum diffraction interferometry is thus realized. Any expected form of interference can be easily yielded according to the pattern recorded in the hologram used. The performance is analysed in detail by virtue of the backward impulse response.

A double frequency Bonchi grating is prepared by overlapping two Rouchi gratings of different spatial frequencies. In this paper , the spectral characteristics of such grating is discussed. We used it as a filter to get the first and second order differential processing or to recover images smeared by uniform motion.

This paper reports laser Eaman studies for determination of three samples of hemotoporphyrin derivatives. It has been shown that most of Eaman spectra occur between 570 em"1 and 1640 cm-1. The Baman frequencies of samples having different curative effect show a little difference. This probably indicates that porphyrin rings connect different sidechain.

The longitudinal-mode behaviors of proton-bombarded stripe-geometry GaAs-GaAlAs laser with a very long cavity have been investigated experimentally and theoritically. It has been found that the devices with a long cavities can maintain stable single longitudinal mode operation over wide current range above threshold.

Dual-wavelength oscillation of a semiconductor laser in an external cavity has been observed. This phenomenon has been attributed to the interference of the two feedback beams, of which one pass through the active layer and the other through the cladding layer (s). The modulation phenomenon on the tuning curve of the tunable semiconductor laser in the external cavity has therefore been explained.

An E-0 stabilizer for pulsed laser output applicable to many types of pulsed lasers has been developed. We present here both the operational principle and the expremental results. Its insertion loss is 20%. Using this device the pulsed laser output fluctuation can be decreased from more than 10% to less than 2%.

A theoretical analysis of the attenuation coefficient and its modification of 10.6 m laser beam passing through the dust-storm has been made with an approximate method. A series of results of digital calculation for the samples of dust-storm in desert area were obtained by using electronic computer. The result shows that under the ordinary dust-storm weather condition, the attenuation coefficient is mainly within the range of 3~5db/km, and the maximum is about 7db/km.

The distortion of the windows of spatial filters under the vacuum condition and the atmospheric state has been measured by using lateral transverse shearing interf erometry and holographic interferometry. The distortion in the central area of the vacuum spatial filter is less than 0.1, and that periphery is about 0.41. And the intensity distribution of the laser beam in focal volume is given by means of holographic reconstructing image and numerical processing methods. The nonlinear effect for high power laser beams is also computed.

The ratio between the brightness of reconstructed images of the reflected and transmitting waves depends on the intensity ratio of the two waves. This paper studies the relationship between the mentioned ratio and the energy reflectivity on the reflecting plane. It is proved that if the given energy reflectivity is a little higher than 20%, the brightnesses of the two kinds of images will be nearly equal to each other.
