A New Explanation of the Intensity-Dependent Subpulse Structure Formation in Linearly Polarized Picosecond Optical Pulses in a Single-Mode Optical Fiber
A new explanation of the intensity-dependent subpulse structure of linearly polarized picosecond optical pulses in a single-mode optical fiber is presented by means of the coupled wave equations between two polarization components, taking into account both the intrinsic linear birefringence and nonlinear birefringence. The results of simulation shows good agreement with the experimental results.
