The infrared imaging technology is finding increasing applications in various fields with the rapid development of science and technology. However, the images after infrared imaging are relatively vague with great noises, which seriously affect the target detection and recognition effects. It is necessary to denoise the image effectively. On the basis of studying Double-Tree Complex Wavelet Transform (DT-CWT) and morphological filtering, we proposed an infrared image denoising method based on the MAP estimation of DT-CWT and morphological filtering, and applied it to the infrared image denoising. In comparison, the proposed method is superior to the traditional denoising methods both in terms of visual effects and objective evaluation indexes, and can be used in the field of infrared image processing.
