A study on spatial frequency response of silver halide gelatin holograms derivedfrom Tianjin-I plate of China is carried out experimentally.When the frequency is limitedwithin 500～800 lines/mm,the holograms with higher than 70% peak diffractionefficiency are obtained.In addition,with one-step dehydration of the gelatin hologramsiusted of the three-step used usually,the holograxns with high difftaction efficiency canalso be obtained.In this paper,the making procedure and the experimental results of the holograms are presented, and the reason that only one-step dehydration is necessary is explained.
