Second order soliton interaction under the influence of intrapulse Raman scattering and its suppression
Under the influence of intrapulse Raman scattering, the interactions between in-phase and out-phase high-order solitons are investigated numerically, and the impacts of soliton interactions to timing jitter and the impacts of Raman effects to soliton frequency shift are analyzed, respectively. It is found that under the influence of intrapulse Raman scattering, in-phase and out-phase soliton pairs are both split. Two split solitons will collide with each other during the propagation and they will be apart from each other after the collision. The difference between in-phase and out-phase soliton pair exists that the interactions of out-phase is weaker than that of in-phase soliton pair and the collision distance of out-phase is much longer than that of in-phase soliton pair. A nonlinear gain can be used to effectively suppress soliton interactions and the effects of intrapulse Raman scattering, and stabilize the soliton propagation
