The ratio of the reflectance in visible and NIR is highly correlated with nitrogen applied to the plant. The nitrogen contents in the plant can be obtained by measuring spectrum reflectance. The principle and method of the multiple wavelength optical sensing system based on the LED are described. The experiment results are analyzed and discussed. The result means that the multiple wavelength optical sensing nitrogen system can be used to monitor nitrogen contents in the plant.
