Porous silicon was employed as absorbing medium because of its large surface areas. When 2.2′ cyanine monomer molecules and its J aggregated molecules or fluorescein-sodium were absorbed to porous silicon, their fluorescence were enhanced greatly. The energy transfer effects were observed between porous silicon and dye molecule. The fluorescence enhanced mechanism and energy transferring effect were discussed and analyzed in detail.
