Along with the advances of Stirling cryocoolers, there is a pressing demand for a theoretical model which can be used for reliable and practical design. In this paper,a theoretical model of a pneumatically-driven split-Stirling-cycle cryocooler with clearance-phase-adjustor,which described in Part 1,has been established to simulate its dynamic performances.Adiabatic calculation of the linear compressor is adopted and an experimentally rectified displacement of compression piston is introduced in the theoretical model. The working characteristics of compressor motor and the principal losses of cooling, including regenerator inefficiency loss, solid conduction loss, shuttle loss, pump loss and radiation loss, are taken into account. The displacer motion is modelled as a single-degree-of-freedom(SDOF)forced system.A set of goveming equations Call be solved by a numerical method to simulate the cooler's performances. The simulation model is useful for understanding the physical processes occurring in the cooler, and also for predicting the cooler'S performances.
