At first, the development of the typical directed infrared countermeasure (DIRCM) systems in America such as system composition, improvement, upgrade and equipment platform is introduced. And then, the equipment deployment, development and improvement of the system are discussed and analyzed. At last, the development trend of DIRCM equipment in America is discussed.
