Automatic switched optical network(ASON)is a set of optical infrastructure with high flexibility and extensibility,which can provide service at optical layer directly and can fulfill the requirements of subscribers,so it can solve some network problems perfectly,such as extensibility,manageability,subscriber bandwidth distribution and end-to-end network protection. We proposes the architecture of ASON wicth including three planes,three interfaces and three connections,then analyzes the networking mode and networking structure. In conclusion,we introduce the ASON networking scheme of Lucent.
