Harmonic Generation during Short-pulse,Ultraintense Laser Interaction with Solid Target
A simple model is presented to describe the interaction of short-pulse,ultraintense,oblique incident,p-polarized laser with solid target and attribute the generation of harmonics to the nonlinear mixing of the transverse and longitudinal electronic currents in a very thin layer under the surface of the solid target. Based on this model,the angular distribution of the high harmonics was obtained and the dependence of the conversion efficiency on harmonic number and laser strength parameter was investigated.
