The theory of dual interference effects (DIFE) from a single layer film and a substrate is proposed in this paper, the related mathematical expressions are obtained. The exprimental results have shown that our theoretical analysis is correct. As the result of DIFE, the thermo induced light intensity reflecting modulation depth is as high as 80%. The effects are expected to have widely potential applications.
