Analytical solution of the fundamental space filling mode of photonic crystal fibers
The fundamental space filling mode of photonic crystal fibers can be designated HE11 mode following conventional mode classification. A comparison is made between the vectorial method and the scalar method when identical parameters are used in the analytical solution of the fundamental space filling mode of photonic crystal fibers. A best radius of the equivalent circular unit cell is determined.
