ZnO-based phosphors were prepared by sintering. The properties were characterized by XRD and SEM. The results show that ZnO:Zn2 + phosphor with great crystalline and small grain size was prepared by calcining with NH4 Cl as flux. It gives a broadband green luminescent emission with excitation wavelength of 387 nm. Eu3 + -doped ZnO was sintered at 800°C. The Eu3 + ion reduced the sintering temperature to some extent. The fluorescence emission peaks wavelength of ZnO:Eu3 + are at 612 nm and 700 nm with excitation wavelength of 465 nm.
