Blueshifted Spectra of Supercontinuum Generation in Photonic Crystal Fibers
Blueshifted spectra of supercontinuum generation in photonic crystal fibers are studied theoretically and experimentally. The influences of input power on supercontinuum spectra generation are analyzed. The research results show that when the power of the laser is low, the theoretical results obtained by the nonlinear Schrodinger equation including selfphase modulation, selfsteeping and intrapulse Raman scattering agree with the experimental results. However, when the power of the laser is high, the theoretical and experimental blueshifted spectra are different. Therefore, the influences of the cross phase modulation and fourwave mixing effects on the supercontinuum generation are discussed, which provide the mechanism for the buleshifted spectra of supercontinuum generation.
